1. The service

Nerd Prescribed provides professional website design and ongoing managed maintenance services to small business owners and independent traders. By submitting a quote request, contact form, or entering into a project agreement, you agree to these terms.

2. Service plans

One-Time Build

A one-time project to design, build, and deploy a professional website. Includes 2 rounds of revisions. Ongoing hosting and maintenance are not included — you own the site outright.

Monthly Care Plan

Everything in the one-time build, plus managed hosting, security updates, daily backups, performance monitoring, analytics, unlimited small content edits, and priority support. Billed monthly. Cancel any time — no minimum term, no notice period required.

3. Payment terms

  • Website builds: The full amount is paid upfront via Stripe at checkout. A 3-month installment option is also available at checkout for clients who prefer to spread the cost.
  • Monthly subscriptions: Billed monthly in advance via Stripe. The first payment is due on or before the project go-live date.
  • All prices are in Euro (€) and exclusive of VAT where applicable.

4. Client responsibilities

To keep your project on track, I ask that you:

  • Provide all required content, assets, and approvals in a timely manner
  • Respond to questions and review requests within a reasonable timeframe
  • Ensure all content and materials supplied to me are accurate, lawful, and owned by you or properly licensed

If a project is delayed due to lack of response or missing materials from the client, the studio reserves the right to pause work and, if necessary, reschedule the project. Any agreed timeline is contingent on the client meeting these responsibilities.

5. Project timelines

Any timelines or delivery estimates provided are given in good faith and are not guaranteed. Timelines may be affected by the complexity of the project, the availability of client-supplied content, revision rounds, or other factors outside our control. I will communicate any changes to expected timelines as early as possible.

6. Revisions

Starter Design projects include 2 rounds of revisions. A revision round covers a set of changes reviewed together. Additional revision rounds may be quoted separately.

Managed Studio clients receive unlimited small content edits as part of their subscription. A small edit is defined as a straightforward text change, image swap, or minor layout adjustment that can reasonably be completed in under 30 minutes. Work that falls outside this — such as adding new pages, new features, or significant redesigns — will be scoped and quoted separately.

7. Ownership of work

Upon receipt of final payment, you own the final website design and all associated content you provided. The studio retains the right to display the completed project in its portfolio unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Any third-party assets (fonts, stock images, plugins) remain subject to their individual licences. The studio is not responsible for licence compliance for client-supplied assets.

By supplying content, images, or other materials to the studio, you confirm that you own them or hold the necessary rights to use them, and that their use will not infringe any third-party rights.

8. Confidentiality

I treat all information shared by clients — including business details, plans, pricing, and any materials provided during the project — as confidential. I will not share or disclose this information to any third party without your consent, except where required by law.

9. Communication

All project communication takes place through our purpose-built messaging system — no chasing emails, no missed calls, no endless back and forth. Everything is kept in one place so nothing gets lost.

When a live conversation is needed, clients receive an invitation to book a scheduled 30-minute chat slot. These sessions are fixed at 30 minutes and end automatically when the time is up. This structure keeps things focused and respects everyone's time — yours and ours.

Outside of scheduled sessions, communication is handled asynchronously by email at a pace that works for both parties.

10. Right to refuse

Nerd Prescribed reserves the right to refuse or decline any project request at any time, for any reason, without obligation to provide explanation. If a project is declined after payment has been received, a full refund will be issued promptly.

The following types of projects are unlikely to be accepted:

  • Adult or explicit content
  • Gambling and betting
  • Illegal products or services
  • Weapons, firearms, or ammunition retailers
  • Drugs or controlled substances, including grey-area legal highs
  • Hate speech, discrimination, or extremist content
  • Pyramid schemes or multi-level marketing businesses
  • Misinformation or deliberately misleading content
  • Spam, phishing, or scam operations

This list is not exhaustive. The studio reserves full discretion in all cases.

11. Cancellation and refunds

  • One-time builds: If you cancel before work begins, a full refund will be issued. Once work has begun, refunds are at the studio's discretion.
  • Monthly care plans: You may cancel any time — no minimum term, no notice period required. No refunds are issued for the current billing period.
  • Hosting on cancellation: If a monthly care plan is cancelled, the site will remain live until the end of the current billing period. After that, hosting will cease. All project files and assets will be provided to you on request so you can arrange alternative hosting independently.

12. Limitation of liability

The studio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the website, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, or business interruption. Our maximum liability in any case is limited to the total fees paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
