Web design for ecommerce brands

A storefront that looks like your brand — not like Shopify's default theme.

Custom Next.js ecommerce sites for indie brands who want a storefront that feels like it belongs to them — not one borrowed from a template marketplace with five hundred other shops running the same layout.

What this is.
Nerd Prescribed builds custom ecommerce storefronts for indie and DTC brands — typically €1,800–€10,000. No platform fees, no Shopify dependency, full source code ownership.
Who it's for.
Indie fashion designers, product makers, and DTC founders who have outgrown Etsy or Shopify's aesthetic limits and want a storefront built around their actual brand.
What it costs.
A one-product shop starts at €1,800. A full multi-product storefront with Stripe checkout, cart, and order management runs €3,000–€8,000. Complex builds with custom logic or subscriptions are €6,000–€10,000.
Bottom line.
Nerd Prescribed built SOME DOSE — a fully custom fashion storefront trading now, no template, direct Stripe integration, no monthly platform fee.

Features

What indie ecommerce brands actually need

  1. 01

No platform fee eating your margin

Shopify charges 0.5–2% on every transaction on top of payment processor fees. A custom Stripe integration costs nothing per sale. On a €100k/year GMV brand that's €500–€2,000 back in your pocket, every year.

  2. 02

A product page that's actually part of your brand

Custom product page layouts, brand-native typography, editorial imagery treatment. Not a Shopify theme you paid €200 for that five hundred other shops are running.

  3. 03

Checkout that doesn't look like a different website

Stripe Checkout or a fully custom cart — no jarring handoff where the checkout looks nothing like your shop. The trust signal from a seamless checkout is measurable in conversion rate.

Common questions

What's the actual difference between this and Shopify?

Shopify is a platform you rent — you pay monthly, you pay per transaction, and your storefront looks like a Shopify store. A custom Next.js store is yours outright. No platform fee, no transaction cut, no theme limitations. You own the code and the customer data.

Can you migrate my existing Shopify or Etsy shop?

Yes. I can rebuild your product catalogue, imagery, and brand into a custom storefront. You bring the products and the brand; I rebuild the engine. Migration includes redirects from your old URLs so you keep your SEO equity.

Do you handle payments?

Yes — Stripe integration is included in all ecommerce builds. Depending on your scope, this is either Stripe Hosted Checkout (fast, zero friction) or a custom cart with Stripe Elements. Both are PCI-compliant by default — card data never touches my server.

What about inventory management?

For small catalogues, a lightweight inventory system built with Prisma and Neon PostgreSQL is included. For large SKU counts or complex stock needs, I integrate with existing systems or scope a custom admin panel.

Can I add subscriptions or repeat purchase to my shop?

Yes. Stripe Subscriptions and recurring billing are the same infrastructure used in the SaaS work. Adding a repeat-purchase option or subscription product tier to an ecommerce build is a standard scope item.
